“We don't spend time looking closely at things.
Smallness makes us attentive.” —Natasha Beshenkovsky

There's something about a miniature that makes us stop and look twice. We take time to consider it's intricacies and marvel at the tiny world it creates before our eyes. Even the most mundane of objects or situations becomes magnificent, through the simple compression of reality, and the focus of attention.

Through the miniature, we may find ourselves momentarily observing life from the perspecive of the Gods! We may peer into 3-dimensional fantasy worlds that once existed only in the realm of imagination. Stories are told, from the humorous to the historical, in a single vignette. Childhood memories, homages to bygone eras, may be re-created in a tangible form we can hold in our hands.

This joyous expression of endless creativity, from simple collecting, to kit-bashing, to creating from scratch, can provide an intense satisfaction rarely found elsewhere in life.

But beware:
The art of the Miniature is incredibly addictive.

Our Purpose
Whether avid collectors, skilled artisans, or simple admirers, we encourage people to share their interest in, and knowledge of miniatures. We help develop new and creative talents by creating an atmosphere for learning and discussion of all areas of miniatures. And we also endeavor to bring the art of the Miniature to the community, through charitable work and our annual Show and Sale.

Our Meetings
We hold our meetings on the third Thursday of most months from September through May at the New Castle Senior Center in New Castle, Delaware.

We socialize over refreshments, handle club business, and most meetings include a mini-workshop or presentation of some kind, which usually corresponds to our yearly club project.

A meeting night workshop

The club also maintains an extensive library of books and videotapes on all things miniature that members are welcome to borrow.

Meetings are open to anyone interested.
Feel free to stop by and see what we're all about!
