ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 

Lucifer Fulci was born and raised in and around Detroit, Michigan USA and found himself submerged in Horror at a young age when he witnessed Lucio Fulci’s ZOMBIE in 1980 on the big screen. Something happened when that splinter rammed into the infamous eye..It was the birth of a Gorehound!

 

 Lucifer writes for Hackers Source magazine and is the Literary Editor of ULTRA VIOLENT magazine as well as the Producer/Director of the splatter film GOREHOUNDS and the documentary series BEHIND THE WALLS OF GORE. Fulci also is also a member of the Heavy Musical Horror Show called PENIS FLYTRAP.

" Where Demons go to Die" is a suitable subtitle for Lucifer Fulci's first novel. " If you look at the characters in my stories, they either all have serious personal issues, a dark secret..or they all die violently..Ha!"

 

Demons of the truest sort.

 

" SIKI CITY" was a place that was around where I grew out of my adolecance, in Michigan. It was an old gravel pit area, and they never did any work around there anymore by the time I was a teenager. The lot had these huge old silos that were half buried and what not. I mean, you could WALK down into them and find several old burned cars hiding in there like waiting cannibals. That is where they say that bodies were burned in ritual and hate..It was a scary place to me then."

 

Fulci wanted to make the SIKI CITY in his novel MUCH more ominous.

 

" I really just took the slang name of the pit and turned it into the centerpiece of Horror that was awaiting my characters. The Evil that I felt when I was younger- in the catacombs of that Satanic territory- is what inspired my story..not the senseless crimes that may or may not have taken place there themselves. My thoughts..My Nightmares. My Love for Italian Horror films. "

 

Not a book for the squeamish, SIKI CITY runs more like a Chas Balun Splatter Sermon or Jack Ketchum Cannibal Raid than any watered down Steve King Opus De La Maine.

 

" I am not a writer. Jack Ketchum, Chas Balun, Dave Schow..THOSE are writers. What I am is someone with a story to tell, something in me that needs to get out. Same as a song, film or clarified verbal dedication to the genre. SIKI CITY is for Splatter fans. Its for the Gorehounds in all of us. We must always move ahead in this Beast, claiming knowledge and understanding of the Horrors that had come before. SIKI CITY is my gift of Gore."
