| It would be unfair (not to say ungentlemanly) to suggest that moviegoers-primarily male ones-follow the career of this ravishing blonde because she so often removes her clothes, but the statistics are undeniable. Nonetheless, Scacchi is a talented performer who has tackled a wide variety of roles in her relatively brief starring career; no pallid ingenues for this actress. First noticed in flashback segments of Heat and Dust (1983), she scored as the secretary in The Coca-Cola Kid (1985), a silent-film actress (who even gets a pie in the face) in Good Morning, Babylon and as an actress in love with her costar in A Man in Love (both 1987). Scacchi has played sensual femmes fatale in White Mischief (also 1987) and Presumed Innocent (1990). She has a child by Vincent D'Onofrio, with whom she appeared in Fires Within (1991) and Desire (1993). Other credits include Shattered (also 1991), The Player (1992), and The Browning Version (1994).
