Washington,D.C. Acne Scar Support Group

We are the worlds first real-life face-to-face support group for acne scarring. We meet monthly IN BROAD DAYLIGHT:-)to "show & tell" each other about the various scar-revision stuff we've tried....to help each other "separate the hype from the hope". There's ALOT of hype out there! You gotta educate yourself before you spend any $ or you'll wind up poor AND still scarred. We began the group back in October,2001 and now have about 70 members-mostly women-a few brave men (men DON'T like asking for help:-) ranging from ages 17-"60ish" & from all walks of life. We focus on FIXING our scars rather than "just learn to live with them". Our motto: Less crying....more trying.  Our group is NOT a front for a doctor's office/clinic/pharmaceutical company,etc. We are JUST a support group. We want your experiences-NOT your $$$. Our meetings are very casual & relaxed....less like a "support group" and more like "having a bite to eat with friends". We generally meet on the first Sunday of each month.
