I have driven across country from Lancashire to Norfolk. It was great, all A and B class roads, no motorways; roads where you had to think, dangerous curves and wild ups and downs: just like driving in New Zealand. I have driven to Norwich to visit the creator of Green Man Morris, Andy Williams and his family who live on a one acre block on a river at Ringland. Those who know the William's can see from the photos that they are well and enjoying the English Summer.

Janine has a London Taxi to drive around the 2 boys and 2 girls (new baby called Emily). Earlier that day it was out to an organic farm to buy wheat (or corn as it is known here) for the daily bread.

This night we went to the Broads and watched Kemps Men dance. They danced many traditions including their own which was a mixture of Cotswold, Molly and country figures plus brand new movements. Brilliant, I also danced Step and Fetch Her with Kemps Men.

I drove to Coventry and stayed with Ron Shuttleworth. He is a Mummer and has a huge collection of plays and related materials. We spoke for hours about Mummers performance and watched video of Bradshaw and Coventry Mummers. I even saw a play that had 5 of each characters. 5 St Georges, 5 Turkish Knights and yes 5 Doctors. The justification was that if you could do mass Morris dance then why not mummers.
