| Gosport Bowmen is the longest, established Archery Club for the Gosport area catering for adults & children. Founded in 1983, we are based at Bridgemary School, Wych Lane, Gosport & shoot all year round. We have two resident coaches qualified to teach in all aspects of archery including recurve,compound & the traditional longbow. We are always available to talk to and the club has a friendly atmosphere. Our club is fortunate to boast members who have gone on to represent Hampshire & England in archery competitions. Steve Searle was Double UK Champion 1996 & UK Team for World Indoor Championships 1999 also many of our junior members have joined the Hampshire Junior Squad. |

| Gosport Bowmen cater for those who have a keen interest in archery. Whether you prefer to shoot Recurve, Compound, or the traditional Longbow we can provide training with free use of our club equipment. We have at present over 15 adult & 20 junior members, with new members joining all the time. For the adults we shoot on Friday evenings from 6.30pm in the summer months in the North Field at the school & from 7.30pm in the winter months in one of the gym halls. For juniors members we shoot on Wednesdays & start at 6pm in the summer months. A club house is provided within the grounds where after the rigours of shooting we often retire to the bar for a pie & a pint. |
| Throughout the year we are invited to attend displays & local events where we set up a 'have-a-go' stall for the general public to try their hand at archery. Our members volunteer to help set up & man the stall where a very enjoyable weekend is had by all. You can see what we get up to on our Events page. Just click on the spinning target above. |
