Easter

This is what Easter is all about.  It is not about candy or the Easter Bunny. It is about our Risen Savior, Jesus. Friday, we have celebrated Good Friday, and tomorrow we will celebrate Easter. Easter is the celebration of all celebrations: when our Savior rose from the dead. That day, Jesus defeated death, hell, and the grave. And those who are truly-born again have been resurrected spiritually.

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:35-37 and 42-45, "But someone will say, " How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?" Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain-perhaps wheat or some other grain. But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body." "So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, "The first man, Adam became a living being,". The last Adam became a life-giving Spirit."

That is what being born-again is about: resurrection. Paul goes on to write about the final victory: the victory over death, which Jesus conquered when He rose. Death will finally be cast into the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:14) It is true that death is a part of our life in this world, but with God all things are possible. That is what it all boils down to: Jesus, our Lord and Risen Savior did the impossible and made it possible. He died for us so that we can live through all eternity. The Devil is a defeated foe! That is something to celebrate! Let us all remember that this upcoming Sunday.

If you don't know the Risen Savior, "Today is the day of Salvation". Won't you take the time to pray this prayer or say it in your own words:

"Lord Jesus, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that you died on the cross and rose again for me. I thank you and I ask for forgiveness of my sins. Save me, Lord Jesus. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. I want to live for you and serve you all the days of my life. Thank you for saving me, in Your Name, Jesus, Amen."
If you prayed this or a similar prayer, tell someone about it. Be a witness for the Risen Savior.
