| Two Friends and a Truck, an amusing slice-of-life episode, is the perfect show to follow the sci-fi feel of the return of Eugene episodes. There's no denying the classic feel that can be found in this episode and the clever dialouge that is scattered throughout it. Although this episode is well-written and well-produced, it falls short in one area: the Biblical lesson. I'm glad that there was one, but the way it was presented didn't really work. Mercy and forgiveness are two important elements for a Christian, but this episode doesn't really seem to get the point across. I was glad there was a lesson in this show, I just would have liked it to be more focused on. When all is said and done, Two Friends and a Truck is an episode that works well at showing Eugene back in the normal routine. It has many things about it that bring a smile to one's face; and the show reaches a 24-minute length, unlike the "Something Big" episodes. I hope this episode is a taste of things to come. |
