| okay, so i know what you're thinking... 'what a shrimpy verse!' but it's so cool. last night i talked to a girl in my building who was really stressing over a lot of things. she didn't even mind the stress so much; it was the fact that no one was appreciating her that really had her upset. unfortunately, this is a common problem in our society. many people simply use others for personal gain, some simply don't care, and others are just vengeful people out to hurt. anyway, the reason i chose this verse - or this part of this verse - is b/c it tells me that God appreciates me. the fact that He even knows my face astounds me, much less that He keeps track of the hairs on my head. it's not like He's even had to work really hard to remember exactly who i am or where i live or anything, either. He set me apart from birth. so even before i had heard the word God, He was already paying attention to me. He is, in fact, the reason i'm here (and DEFINITELY t.p. green, too - yeah, miracles) check out jer 1:5 for another verse about God's knowledge of you. anyway, this verse also says that He called me. i didn't end up here through a fluke, and it's not that i jumped on the Christian bandwagon hoping that God wouldn't notice or mind. it was His idea i join in the first place! cool, eh? at least considering that He has who knows how many other people to keep track of, not to mention making sure the planets and stars don't crash into each other and such. anyway, praise God 'cause He knows every piece of you and still loves you more than anyone else. -h |
