From March 2000 through December 2002, I owned a 1999.5 Volkswagen Golf GL with a 1.9 liter Turbocharged Direct-Injection Diesel engine (TDI). During that time period, I kept this site pretty well updated with the problems, maintenance adventures, and fuel economy that I encountered (along with pictures and such which I have taken out - it's not my car anymore).
