| Many religions in the world worship various Gods, but for Geordies, Welshmen and students there is only one - Fray Bentos. With its gold-like pastry, the fillings of kings, and the perfect tin (which doubles as a dish), it is surprising why this food hasn't taken over from chips, McDonald's or even bread. But one thing is for sure - it has gained a cult following, with people being introduced to it eveyday. One 'victim', a Geordie named Al, has a heroin type addiction to it, and cannot even leave bed without his daily fix. At his lowest point he was actually eating the chicken and vegetable variety.
