This is Brian Head, Utah. It's about 20 miles north of Cedar City, Utah. It's
                                             a famous ski resort but we were there to find the red and blue Brian Head
                                             agate.  The elevation is over 11,000 ft. so we had to pace ourselves on
                                             this first trip.

                                            This is the viewing station at the top.  You can see parts of Utah, Nevada
                                            and Arizona from this lookout point.

                                            As you turn off the main road to go up to the peak, at about 1/4 mile you will
                                            cross a small bridge. Stop here and you will find the red agate scattered up and
                                            down this area.

                                                              The surrounding meadows are beautiful.

                                                     We found the red agate but never the blue, we will return.
