FIRST GREEK BOOK GROUP HOMEPAGE![]()
This website contains additional information about the new greekstudy group using John Williams White's First Greek Book. Like all greekstudy groups, it's free and open to anyone. The text this group is using is out of print, but it's available to download for free as a PDF document from Textkit. It's also available from many public and academic libraries, as well as from used bookstores.
The group works by each participant reading the assigned material for a given week and doing the translation exercises and readings. The answers to these exercises are emailed to the group facilitator who collates them and posts them to the list. Participants then get to compare their answers to everyone else's, ask question, make comments, etc.. The more questions and comments members make the more lively and worthwhile the groups will be.
To join this group, you only need to subscribe to the list and have a copy of the textbook. This website has a link for downloading the text, instructions about how subscribe to the list and how to email your answers to the group facilitator, and a schedule of assignments. It also has a page with all of the previous collations and a page of related links.
Please do not hesitate to email me at berelbeyer@yahoo.com with any questions.
