Our class will reread The Mysterious Giant of Barletta. On Thursday, students will take the vocabulary and comprehension tests. Skills will be primary focus this week.
The following students are about half way or closer to their goal, which is due by February 14th.
Katelyn (12.0), Josue (11.5), Zachary (10.2), Dominic (9.7), Nghia (8.9), Joshua A. (8.6), Dante (8.5), and Sammy (8.1).
Writing

Students will complete their Dogzilla summary and Jamestown final draft. The Jamestown final draft is due by Tuesday afternoon.
Math

We will continue to learn about multiplication this week. Students will be practicing mental math, using mathematical reasoning, and learn to multiply a large number by one digit.

Social Studies

We'll be learning about the city of San Francisco and comparing it to Corona this week.
Science

Mrs. Burns will be continuing her study of the Sun and planets.
Other

Ice Skating- Crossroads has an outdoor ice rink this week that is open from 10-9. Our family found that we love outdoor ice skating when we were in Washington D.C. last March. Hope to see you around the rink. Ü
Party- 12:45 on Wednesday. If you are sending something, please send it to school with your child so that the secretaries aren't frustrated with goodies coming in.
Winter Break- We'll return on January 9th. I hope everyone has a wonderfully blessed holiday.
