"All are lunatics, but he who can analyze his delusions is called a philosopher." -Ambrose Bierce
I don't know how you found me, or what you plan to
do with me, now that you have, but, until then, welcome. This place
holds some of my more long-standing works. Think of it as a
portfolio. It's got my old poetry, and will hold some of the new
poetry. It's got Old Essays, and will hold New essays. There will be
Stories. There will be horrible things that might make you
want to run screaming into the night, gibbering with Realisation.
Who knows? That said: Here's some links.
Other than that, On with the Show.
"No one should brave the Underworld alone." - POE
here's some
quotes:
"Men
should die for lies. But the truth is too precious to
die for."
- Brutha, "Small Gods"
"A
poet is an unhappy being whose heart is torn by
secret sufferings, but whose lips are so strangely
formed that when the sighs and cries escape them,
they sound like beautiful music... and then people
crowd about the poet and say to him: 'Sing for us
soon again;' that is as much to say, 'May new
sufferings torment your soul.'"
- Kierkegaard
"I
became insane, with horrible moments of sanity."
- Poe
"I
do not take drugs, I am drugs."
- Salvidor Dali
"Before
I died, I told me many things."
- Daniel
"Oh,
see, I would enjoy it, but I've just got these
issues with gobliny parasitic mind things trying to
terraform my thoughtmeats." - Devi
"Things
just happen. What the hell."
-Didactylos
"Buggrit!
Millenium hand and shrimp!"
-Foul Ole Ron
"Edward's
thoughts often ran like this. He could think in italics.
Such people need watching. Preferably from a safe
distance."
-"Men at Arms" on Lord Edward d'Eath
"Don't quote me boy, I ain't said shit."
-EZ E
There is, here, what could be called an inherent perceptual Flaw. We have the ideals and views and visions, of people, ion the world, who say that something does or does not exist, and then there are those deny that, and are labeled, pejoritavely, as "In Denial." That's like saying that someone is a cynic, and meaning it as an insult. Perception is exactly that, a way of perceiving and onderstanding the world. The only time this is a problem, is in the context of a consentual reality.
_____The real fault, here, is the thought that there is an objective wrong or right, any more. We need the concepts, there, yes, to teach our children... But that's like teaching them Simple mathematics, and building to calculus, when, the younger we are, the more willing we are to accept a complex system of input. We are able to wrap our heads around more things, and accept the "Impossible," not because we are stupid, but because we are more Open. The rules and restrictions we place on ourselves, at a young age, while giving us guide-lines, also serve to keep us fenced in.
"It
is the quest of this special classic beauty, the
sense of hamony with the Cosmos, that makes us choose
the facts most fitting to contibute to this harmony"
-Robert M. Pirsig
