This is a safety system package having a unique design to bring safety for power presses. This safety system is more suitable for key / rolling key/mechanical power presses where it is highly accident-prone during busy production schedules on the machine. This safety system gives a ZERO ACCIDENT MACHINE in the factory. It is also proven to give more productivity when it is practically installed on the machine.The safety system is having electronic controls that activates a pneumatic system though which the activation of the press is being done effortlessly. The system consist of a control panel, two hand operated switches, one foot pedal switch and a pneumatic cylinder with a control valve.The features available on this machine are,1. A SAFETY foot switch continuous mode,2. A SAFETY foot switch stroke mode,3. A SAFETY double hand switch stroke modeIn foot switch continuous mode, the machine can be kept operating up and down continuously as long as the switch is kept pressed. This is more suitable when operators both hands are kept encaged in the job and away from the ram operating area. (Eg. Strip blanking operation by continuously moving the job by hand by using operator’s skill)In foot switch stroke mode, the machine can be operated up and down only one time even when the switch is kept pressed. The next cycle in this mode is started only when the foot switch is released up and then pressed again. This is more suitable when operators both hands are kept encaged in the job and away from the ram operating area. But still the speed of operation needed is less due to accurately placed jobs. (Eg. Strip blanking operation by continuously moving and locating on to a locating pin with hand by using operator’s skill)The double hand switch operation mode is the unique operational mode in this system for jobs that is of PICK & PLACE nature. This mode completely avoids the chances of hand of the operator to be under the ram area since they are encaged in operating the push button switches in order to start the operating cycle. There is an interlock of the push button switches so as to operate the switches simultaneously but not separately. That is one after the other pushing of the switch will not activate the operating cycle.There are two key switches provided on the control panel, in order to select different mode and to avoid man-handling. Maintenance: Maintenance will be attended within 24 to 48 hours from our Coimbatore office or from our branch office at Delhi or Bangalore by sending the whole new control panel to you. In case of problem with pneumatics the same will be replaced with new one if necessary and if the customer is under Annual maintenance contract schedule.(AMC). The control box or a cylinder will be replace by customer or by our service engineer depending on the situation, the old one will be sent to us by courier.However monthly maintenance will have to be done by the customer based on the instruction on operating manual.Preventive maintenance will be done on continuous basis as per the schedule given in the AMC by our service engineer through his regular visit to your factory. During such visit by our service engineer/s the guidelines laid down or advice given by him to the supervisors/production in charge / operator at customers office shall be taken with due care and act upon for mutual benefits.Applications: 1.To provide safety in power presses. 2. Other machines where similar safety is required and it can be used as control circuit in many applications since it is readily available of the shelf. |
