St. Thomas of Aquinas Roman Catholic Church sits on the edge of the University of Connecticut's campus in Storrs, CT. While religion had always been a part of my life, it wasn't until I became a member of the student groups at St. Thomas that I started getting more involved in community service. As a result I gained more confidence and decided that even though I was still young, that I wanted to try signing up for the Haitian Experience trip offered in January 2004. Through much difficulty but continued loyalty to the Haitian people, seven students including myself were able to venture to a world none of us knew previously (except for Rose and Sara!) and a world probably none of us will feel the same way about ever again, May 11-21, 2004.
I hope that you will take the time to look at all that my website has to offer, dedicated to the people and supporters of Haiti. I am using it as an educational tool in the beginning stages for all those that wish to utilize it. Please feel free to sign the guestbook if you wish!
