When he moved to the South-west of France in 1999 he served as Legion piper for the Bordeaux region on numerous ceremonial occasions in addition to other public activities, festivals, funerals and, of course, marriages. After leaving the vineyards of the Gironde and spending two years on board their barge, Albertine, Edward and his wife, Charlotte, moved ashore to their present home in Haute-Saône, Franche Comté where Burns suppers and Caledonian functions are a little rarer! He occasionally plays bodhran with the group 'Vents d'Irlande and, with Charlotte, is developing a repertoire of traditional music for pipes, melodeon and the various other instruments which the couple play.
Edward can appear in full Number 1 dress (feather bonnet, etc), Argyll or in more 'middle ages' garb for medieval fairs or banquets. He is happy to discuss your requirements and can appear anywhere in Europe.
