A little known gem to anyone who went to
any of the high schools in Euclid. The Euclid Schools Museum is the
result of many dedicated alumni who believe our collective history
is to be preserved and treasured. It is located at Shore Cultural
Center (the former high school & jr. high.)

And here is another reason that Euclid
girls were the prettiest girls in the world. But I better stop here,
or I'll need to give equal time for Forest Park and Central ! From

Although not a clear picture, these are
some of the artifacts found when the lockers were removed to make
way for the school museum display. The "Turn On" magnet is
obviously from the late 60's or early 1970's.

March 17, 2006
At 3:30 PM on March 17th, the last landmark symbol of Euclid's
manufacturing past was demolished to make way for a new 21st century
industrial park. Rather than blast, the contractor cut the legs of
the structure with a torch and then split it like a wishbone with
the help of a few construction diggers. |

Summer, 2005
Just a subtle reminder that better weather is somewhere down
the road.
This photo was taken at the Briardale Greens Golf Course. For
many, this was the location of the Community Project Housing that
was torn down in the early 1970's.
And if they could see sunsets like these on a regular basis,
then they definitely had an advantage over the rest of us.

September,
2005 There are many people who just
whine and
complain about how bad things get, and they just don't try to change
things. Here, you have to give credit to the
new Euclid Square Mall owner as they are trying to revive the mall
and the local economy with something different. While others abandon
us, they are sticking it out here and are trying to improve the
situation. Bravo! |
April 6, 2006.
Springtime has arrived...or at least Easter has
with the annual decoration of Jellybeanville. This home has been
celebrating Easter Sunday with a chance for children to visit with
the Easter Bunny for over 20 years.

December, 2005
Some days, no matter how well you plan....
On this day, someone must have organized a
"Let's pretend to be like a New York or LA commute day!"
