Languedoc Flower
Essence Therapy
One of the oldest known
sciences of healing views Nature as the manifestation of the
Divine Mother, called Prakriti in Sanskrit or Mother Nature in English. The Divine Feminine is viewed as the Wisdom aspect of the Creator, also known as Sophia.
The Mother (yin)
receives the impulse carrying the male seed (yang), holds on to it,
and forms it into the newborn organism inside her body, growing it with her own substance. This, of course, is the application of active intelligence, which we may call Wisdom.
The preparation of
flower essences involves similar principles and roles. The male
solar principle, i.e., sunlight (yang), interacts with the flower petals, which supply the life force and healing consciousness. The sun interacts as well with the water (yin) & petals to form the flower essence (called the Mother tincture).
In this latest cycle (Maha
Yuga) of human incarnation on planet Earth, when
humanity took on a physical body, (s)he incarnated in the Garden of Eden known as Lemuria1 (approximately 500,000 years ago).
In the evolutionary plan
for mankind flowers were then and still are the very essence
of the plant and contain the highest concentration of the life force (prana shakti) of the plant. The flower is the highest manifestation and the crowning glory of the plant's life cycle.
A Sufi mystic has
expressed this understanding with his realisation that the "flower is
the purpose of the seed."
Flowers contain the male
and female portions of the plant, which are, of course, vital
to the plants fertility and to its ability to continue as a species.
According to John the
Apostle, who speaks through the trance channel Kevin
Ryerson2:
"When many souls fell
and got trapped on the earth plane, God manifested His Spirit here in a
specific intelligent pattern to shape and guide these souls. Part of
God's Plan was to establish a specific relationship between the many
plant forms and the humanoid form. With this development, these plants
were gradually used as an enhancement for human growth in mind, body and
spirit."
According to Arthur E.
Waite, Paracelsus, in the 1500s, discovered (re-discovered) the
principle known as "The Doctrine of Signatures." (Hermetical and Alchemical Writinas of Paracelsus). |

1 James
Churchward, Edgar Cayce, Rudolf Steiner, Swami Subramuniyaswami and
others have written about the
lost civilization of Lemuria or Mu. In that ancient civilization f lower essences were used primarily for their benef it in psychic & spiritual development because there was little illness that required healing at that time.
2 Kevin
Ryerson made an appearance in Shirley McLain's f ilm, Out
On A Limb. which may be rented at your local
video store. Gurudas used Kevin as a source f or channelled inf ormation on the mechanisms of f lower essence action in his book Flower Essences and Vibrational Healing. |

The doctrine of
signatures, when applied to the use of plants therapeutically by
humanity, states that there is a relationship between the anatomy of people and the shape, color and texture of many plants.
Using this relationship
the flower essence therapist can find many meaningful clues as
to how flowers can be used to benefit the healing and spiritual growth of their clients.
Two examples will serve to make this relationship
clear.
When we examine the
Languedoc Flower known as the Poppy we readily observe the
following anatomical features: |
|||
|
|
|||
![]() |
• The flower is bilobed
with a
central isthmus.
• The outer petals are
ruffled
reminding one of the gyrated surfaces of the brain.
• The petals are red.
• There is a central
cross.
• There is a central
circle.
• There are many central
stamens (male reproductive elements). |
||
|
|
|||
|
• There are 8 distinct regions with a total of 18
elements present.
|
|||
|
|
|||
|
When we correlate these
anatomical features of the Poppy flower with what is known
about our human physical and subtle anatomy, we will discover, using the doctrine of signatures, how the Languedoc Flower Essence made from the Poppy flower can help us in our healing.
Our human brain is bilobed. The Poppy essence will
help heal and balance our brain.
Our crown chakra looks a
lot like this flower. There are 2 lateral aspects each with
480 petals and a central core of 12 petals. Poppy will help to balance our crown chakra (Sahasrara) and its glandular counterpart, our pineal gland. Additionally the crown chakra has 2 associated colours, white and red. Both these colors are found in the Poppy.
Our third eye chakra (Ajna)
is also a bilobed chakra with 48 petals in each lobe. Its corresponding
endocrine structure, our pituitary gland is bilobed as well. The Poppy
LFE will also help balance our Ajna chakra and our pituitary function.
|
|||
|
|
|||
|
|
|||
|
The central cross is
related to the divine purpose of our human incarnation... the
complete integration of matter and spirit in Sahaj Samadhi. The horizontal line represents the plane of matter and the vertical line represents the plane of spirit. The hu-man (God-man) has incarnated to establish the Kingdom of Heaven (the full manifestation of the Divine Will of Love, Harmony and Beauty) here on earth (in physical matter). The Poppy LFE will help us achieve this purpose.
The central circle with
10 petals is related to the Divine Mother's unconditional Love,
which is the force (Shakina, Shakti) that ultimately brings about Union with God, also known as Mukti, Salvation, Realization, and Liberation for the human being. The Poppy LFE will help us achieve this union by flooding us with its Spiritual Exaltation.
The central stamens
(each of them a 1) bring in the male power, which provides the
seeds for further growth and development of the plant.
Now let us examine some
of the numerical correspondences3 and potencies of the
Poppy flower.
The central circle (0)
represents Nut - the origin. (0) is the symbol of Nut, the Mother
of Set, Isis, Osiris and Nepthys (SION). In illustrations she may be recognized as an inverted crescent or a winged orb. Apparently of no value, but significantly it is the first number and thereby it is the origin [the No-thing-ness out of which All things have come]. It is the hole or holy place from which issues active intelligence (Wisdom) and knowledge.
Each individual central
stamen represents the 1, the Ithyphallus, Unity. Unity as the
word suggests is the instrument of union - the phallus. Various cultures represent the phallus as the Shiva-lingam, the totem pole, the mast of a ship, an obelisk and so on. As a vertical or at 90° it portrays erection, both sexually and in the sense of construction, but in either mode it is impotent unless controlled by the feminine circle.
The 2 outer petals
represent the 2 of duality, polarity and division for the sake of
union. |
|||
|
|
|||
|
The central cross
represents the 4 of construction. It
divides the circle of 360° into 90° portions of erection and construction in the form of a square. Four is the building block of the human and predominates his thought and design.
The 8 distinct regions
bring in the 8 of Isis, the
number of the body of the Supreme Goddess. 8 symbolizes the entwined serpents forming the double womb of infinity.
The 10 central petals
combine the 1 and the 0 to
form the 10, which represents Reproduction. The rigid and tail swallowing snakes represent the perfection of animal reproduction. |

The Greeks used this
(lo) as a name for Isis. It represents the union of Thoth (1)
with Nut (0), Shiva with Shakti, Rama with Sita, Krishna with Radha, Jesus with Mary Magdalene, etc.
The 18 separate elements
correlate with the 18 of the function of Isis. 18 is the
complete symbol of Isis, the caduceus.
The two serpents
entwined represent the vagina and womb, through both of which
passes the phallus. The 1 and the 8 together, the 18, represents the union of 1, phallus, intellect, with the 8, womb, vagina, active intelligence (wisdom).
Our second example
illustrating the use of the doctrine of signatures is the analysis of
the Languedoc flower called Bramble. |
|||
|
|
|||
![]() |
• The Bramble flower is white.
• The flowers look quite
delicate and are
protected by the plants very sharp and abundant prickles (thorns).
• There are five petals in each flower.
• Each petal has a
central marking that could be
used to divide the petal in half.
• There are many central stamens.
• There is a central
circle with a cross dividing
the circle into 4 divisions. |
||
|
|
|||
|
• There are three distinct regions with a total of
10 elements present.
When Carol chose to make
this flower essence she had to tolerate the many cuts and
scratches that she received in order to reach the delicate white flowers.
Making this flower
essence reminded Carol of the story of Sleeping Beauty. In the
children's story an evil witch cast a spell on Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) that resulted in her falling asleep for 100 years. Only the kiss of her true love would awaken her. When Aurora fell asleep the spell also put to sleep all of the people in the Kingdom. By the time the Prince came to rescue his true love a thick wall of prickly Bramble had surrounded the Palace hiding it from view. The Prince courageously cut through the thorns, kissed the Princess and she and the rest of the Kingdom came back to life.
White is the color one
sees in the halo (aura) over the heads of illuminated Masters
such as Krishna, Christ and Buddha. It is the colour of the fully illuminated crown chakra. Taking the Languedoc Bramble flower essence helps to develop our compassion (love in action) and enables us to see beyond any prickly, thorny surface appearance of the outer personality and reach the hidden beauty within the soul.
The three distinct
regions bring in the 3 of Woman's Love. This is a feminine number
that has been associated with the Moon, Mary Magdalene, love, and the principle of death and rebirth... dying to the thorny personality which injures and wounds and |
|||
|
|
|||
|
|
|||
|
being reborn to the
heart of compassion. Being the least number of straight lines
which are capable of forming a complete figure (the triangle) leads one to suspect that a female should be at the head of'triads'.
The 3 is also associated
with the essence or core of the human being as expressed
and translated by the Ida (Lunar), Pingala (Solar) and Sushumna (Central Fire, Illuminated Consciousness) Nadis. These three Nadis or channels exist in the higher bodies. They intersect along the etheric spine to form the chakras, which regulate the mental/astral body's mechanism as well as the physical body's mechanism.
In the language of the
Bible trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy
Spirit, the only holy one is the feminine Hegia Sophia (Greek name for Holy Spirit).
The five white petals
bring in the 5 representing Feminine Power. Five is the
quintessence, femininity par excellence, the pentagram, the figure of five extensions signifying the female body.
When we place the
pentagram inside the feminine circle and divide the angles of the star
points in half we get the number of the active principle of the supreme
goddess Isis, the number 18.
At the centre of the
Bramble flower we again encounter the cross,

surrounded by the circle
as well as by many stamens. See above for
the significance of the number four as well as the number 1.

leading to Reproduction.
The Grandfather of
Modern Flower Essence Therapy
The first and still the
most well known modern proponent and creator of a flower
essence system was Dr. Edward Bach, MD of England.
As his consciousness
evolved, so too did his medical practice, which progressed from
bacteriology, to homeopathy and he ended up his career as a flower essence therapist.
Ahead of his time, writing in 1931, Bach stated:
"From time immemorial it
has been known that Providential Means have placed in Nature the
prevention and cure of disease, by means of divinely enriched herbs and
plants and trees. They have been given the power to heal all types of
illnesses and suffering.
...The dawn of a new and
better healing art is upon us. A hundred years ago the Homeopathy of
Hahnemann was as the first streak of morning light after a long night of
darkness.
...Materialism forgets
that there is a factor above the physical plane, which in the ordinary
course of life protects or renders susceptible any particular individual
with regard to disease, of whatever nature it may be.
|
|||
|
|
|||
|
|
||
|
Fear, by its depressing
effect on our mentality, thus causes disharmony in our physical and
magnetic bodies and paves the way for [bacterial] invasion. The real
cause of disease lies in our personality [soul, mind, emotion, body
complex]...
[In the future], healing
will pass from the domain of physical methods of treating the physical
body to that of spiritual and mental healing, which, by bringing about
harmony between the Soul and mind, will eradicate the very basic cause
of disease..."
Carol Anne Asher, BA (Hons.),
the developer of the Languedoc Flower Essence
System (LFES), speaks of flower essences as "liquid tinctures of consciousness and light."
In the preparation of
her Languedoc Flower Essences, highly charged water, called
source water by the French locals, is used to house and carry the consciousness of the flowers willingly given in service to the Divine Plan.
This source water comes
right out of the mountains in the region that each flower
grows in. This water has maintained a high degree of vortexian energy, which makes it the perfect carrier of each flower's high vibratory consciousness.
Experiments conducted in
Canada and the USA by Dr. Bernard Grad4, Dr. John
Zimmerman5, and other researchers have demonstrated that water can be "charged" and then "store" various types of subtle energies.
Tap water coming out of
straight pipes does not have the same ability as highly
charged vortexian water, such as source water, to carry and store the healing energies transmitted by the flowers.
Source water is used in the preparation of all the
26 flower essences in the LFES.
Returning to information
on flower essences coming through Ryerson, John the
Apostle stated:
"The actual essence, of
course, is the electromagnetic pattern of the plant form. Even as there
are nutritional elements found in various plant forms... so in turn are
there various parameters of biomagnetic energies discharged by
flowers... And the vitality of the life-force increases about the area
of the bloom...
[Essences prepared from
flowers are] merely an etheric imprint; nothing physical gets
transferred. ...You are dealing strictly with the ethereal vibration of
the plant, the intelligence of it. The sun upon striking the water melds
into the water the life-force of the flower, and this is transferred to
people when they assimilate these vibrational essences."
Concerning the pathway
taken by the flower essence remedy and its action on the
client, John states: |

"When a flower essence,
homeopathic remedy... is ingested or used as a salve they follow a
specific path through the physical and subtle bodies. They initially are
assimilated into the circulatory system [the bloodstream]. Next, the
remedy settles mid-way between the circulatory and nervous system [in
the piezoelectric connective tissues]. An electromagnetic current is
created here by the polarity of these two systems [and the inherent
nature of the connective tissues].
Indeed, there is an
intimate connection between these 2 systems in relation to the
life-force and consciousness that modern science does not yet
understand. The life-force works more through the blood, and
consciousness works more through the brain and nervous systems. [The
connective tissue system] contains quartz-like properties and an
electromagnetic system that is piezoelectric, i.e., it magnifies force
put into it. The life-force and the consciousness use these pathways and
properties to enter and stimulate the physical body.
From the connective
tissue system the remedy usually moves directly into the meridians. From
the meridians, the remedy's life force and consciousness enter the
various subtle bodies, the chakras, or returns directly to the physical
body to the cellular level through several portals in the connective
tissues. The type of remedy and the person's constitution determines the
remedy's path.
The three main portals
for the remedy's life force and consciousness to re-enter the physical
body are the etheric body & the ethereal fluidium, the chakras, and the
subcutaneous fascia (lowest layer of skin) with its silica or
crystalline properties. The ethereal fluidium is part of the etheric
body that surrounds the physical body, which brings the life-force into
the individual cells. The life force and consciousness of the remedy
will be most utilized by the imbalanced areas of the bodies that it has
the greatest affinity with. This entire process takes place
instantaneously, but it usually takes awhile to experience the results."
Science has just begun
to investigate the subtle nature of the connective tissues and
its ability to amplify forces put into it.6 Connective tissue is the most abundant and widely distributed tissue in the human bodymind. The ground substance present in all connective tissues appears to be piezoelectric, particularly in bone. What this means is that the connective tissues are able to amplify the life-force and consciousness that has been put into them.
Additionally, the hollow
collagen fibrils found in connective tissues have been found to
contain a fluid similar in properties to the cerebrospinal fluid.7 This would inherently make the connective tissues a very sophisticated "sound-board" for Yesonance- coupling' of the subtle energies of thought, feeling and consciousness which are traditionally associated with our brain, nervous system and endocrine glands.
This communication potentially happens
instantaneously and works both ways.

As John states:
|
||||
|
|
||||
|
"There are various
quartz-like crystalline structures in the physical and subtle bodies
that augment the impact of vibrational remedies. In the physical body,
these areas include: cell salts, connective tissues, lymph, red and
white blood cells, and the pineal gland. These crystalline structures
are a complete system in the body, which are not yet properly isolated
and understood by modern medicine.
Crystalline structures
work on sympathetic resonancy. There is an attunement between
crystalline properties in the physical and subtle bodies, the ethers,
and many vibrational remedies, notably flower essences and gem elixirs.
These properties in the
body magnify the life-force of the vibrational remedies to a
recognizable level to be assimilated. When vibrational remedies are
amplified, their life-force reaches the imbalanced parts of the body
faster and in a more stable state. The remedies may cleanse the aura and
subtle bodies so those imbalances will no longer contribute to ill
health. If this sounds strange, remember scientists have many times
proven that subtle energies such as ultrasonics and microwaves can cause
sickness. Why cannot other subtle energies produce health?"

The Languedoc Flower
Essences are especially potent in inducing positive changes in the
chakras and subtle bodies. However certain of these 26 LFEs also heal by
working directly, however not exclusively, at the level of the physical
body.
Supplementing the
information about each flower's healing abilities that we have gained
using the doctrine of signatures, devic permission has been given to use
the flowers for their high healing purpose according to the Divine Plan
as revealed in the Akashic Records.
Carol Asher, like the
trance channel Edgar Cayce before her, has been gifted with the ability
to enter the Akashic Records and bring forth the information on the soul
purpose of each of the 26 flowers in the Languedoc Flower Essence
System.
