Eli Monkarsh

Hi, my name is Eli Monkarsh, and I am a 16-year-old boy living in Los Angeles, California. I am currently in my junior year of high school at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). LACHSA is an arts school where kids come from all over Los Angeles. To get into the school, you must audition and get into a specific department; dance, theater, visual art, or music. I am enrolled in the dance department, but I take a Friday elective of figure drawing. I also take an Advanced Physical Theater class during the week.
I live in the Hollywood hills with my mother, father, and dog. I have an older sister, Perri, but she lives in San Francisco where she goes to The University of San Francisco. My family and I are all very close. This year, we have been thinking about getting a puppy. The only problem is that my dog, Gracie, does not like other dogs. She is very territorial and her only dog-friend is Lulu, our neighbor’s dog.

My interests include; dancing, singing, acting, cooking, eating, shopping, reading, seeing movies, being with friends and family, meeting new people, going to parties, and having an amazing live. My goals in life are simple. I live each day to the fullest, so I don’t regret anything in my later years. I also try to be the best that I can be. This year I hope to stretch myself in all different directions. I want to grow as an artist and a wonderful human being.

I have the best friends that anyone could ask for. I don’t have a “favorite” because I believe that you can get different things out of different people. The great thing about my friends is that they are from all over the world. Not only do I have friends from Los Angeles, but I also have friends from New York, New Jersey, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C, the Dominican Republic, Turkey, Italy, Egypt, Paris, China, the Philippines, Australia, and New Zeeland. I love all my friends and I love making new friends as well.
