The History of Czech Elvis fan club

Our fan club was started in former Czechoslovakia in 1967. After the Russian army invaded country in 1968, it ceased to exist. We decided to start the club then
in the spring 1996, due  to popular request. Our first up to date convention was held in Prague in June in 1996 and long-time president of the British fan club Todd Slaughter was  present here. The Convention was extremely succesfull and since then  we cumulated around  1.000  members. We  have  a convention every year
now in the middle of June and special December meeting called "Christmas with Elvis" in the most popular music club in Prague. More details.
 

Czech Elvis CD releases on MEMORY RECORDS label

Among true Elvis Presley fans is relatively well known that in the years 2000 and 2001 our fan club released 21 excellent collectors CDs full of rare out-takes and alternative versions from years 1954 - 1965. These CDs are fully legal because of Czech copyright law which was valid till the end of year 2000.  Then many laws were changed or amended with effect from 1st January 2001 due reconciliation of Czech laws to the legislative of  EC. Through the last few years, our fan club produced choice of various collectible Elvis related souvenirs: every year new T-shirts, stickers, calendars, postcards, badges etc... see a short overview of these items.
 

Special features

Here you can read some special features presented, i.e. interviews with Bob Heis, Stein-Erik Skar, Christopher Brown as well as two very detailing interviews
with Czech fan president leader Pavel Cernocky.
