| This site is for family and friends of: Samuel L. Kennady & Mattie B. Smith Kennady, Josiah "Joe" Nathan Gray & Docia Cook Gray, Henry Clay Owen & Una Lee Hall Owen, Amos Sizemore & Lillie May Krone Sizemore, William Dave Peek & Lula Margaret Walker Peek, William Spurlen Knight & Annie Ruth Brackett Knight, Harry D. Perkins & Ada Lynn Sexton Perkins, and/or John William Blackburn & Mary Gladys Harper Blackburn. Hopefully, those of us interested in the history and heritage of these family members can join our efforts to benefit us all. Email me for updated genealogy reports, ged.com files, or photos/scans of pictures and other documents. SEEKING INFORMATION: Peek family--I'm still interested in any information that can more conclusively prove my theory that Francis Peake and his wife Mary (maiden name as yet unproved) are the parents of Thomas W. Peek, who spelled his last name "Peake." The link on the left will take you to google documents where I have transcribed part of the lawsuit brought against Thomas W. Peake by Charles O. Jones over a deal made between them to swap a deed for some slaves. The deed proved to be worthless after another lawsuit wound up, and Jones successfully sued Peake. Our Thomas was born in Virginia in 1780, and his father Frances Peak (if I am correct that Frances was indeed his father) was a Revolutionary War veteran who served in Pennsylvania. Thomas was in the War of 1812 (Scott's Calvary under Capt. Lynn West). Please let me know if you have any information/photos/documents that relate to him. ALSO: Anyone who has the photo of Peeks in covered wagons (may be Peeks and Marshalls in covered wagons) coming to Kentucky (or west Kentucky from Scott County area), PLEASE COPY IT FOR ME. I've heard rumors of this photo's existence and would CHERISH a copy. Apologies for any failed links, etc. I'm still new to website building & am learning on my own. Let me know about any problems, so I can learn how to fix them! |
