Since it's charter, Rho Chapter has been dedicated to serving the community in which it was established. Within the guidelines of Delta's Five Point Programmatic Thrust and keeping with the Sorority's tradition of community service, Rho has organized many programs, forums, and social functions. Some of these include, but are not limited to, the Mildred Randolph Foster Scholarship for an incoming college student, Delta Down Home Dinners, Clinical Depression Forums, and a Black Women's Body Perception Forum. In addition, the chapter participates in the New York Cares Day, Delta Dream Academy, The African-American Day Parade, and hosts an annual Sisterhood luncheon.

During the 2005-2006 academic year, Rho Chapter will be focusing on the theme of Taking Root and Branching Out. Under this theme, Rho will continue its involvement with the Betty Shabazz Delta Dream Academy and Thika Memorial Hospital, in addition to addressing issues such as Sexual Misconduct, Economic and Educational Empowerment, AIDS and other STDs Awareness and Involvement, and various current events affecting Black America today.

Rho Chapter is a full voting member of the Inter-Greek Council and was honored by the IGC during the 1990-91 and 1991-92 academic years as Chapter of the Year at Columbia University. Rho was also honored with the Chapter Programming of the Year Award in 2002.
