The goal has been reached! The City Council has adopted a resolution to install the lights and the project is moving forward!!
HISTORY: In November 2005, a committee of dog owners was formed to help raise funds for the installation of lights at Drigon Dog Park. We have been speaking at the Union City Parks & Recreation Committee meetings held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month so that the Parks & Recreation Committee hears our requests for improvements/upgrades to the park.
If we raise $20,000 dollars, the Parks and Recreation Committee will support our cause to the Union City City Council to have lights installed.
If you are aware of companies, organizations or individuals who would like to donate to help get our lights installed and would like a tax deduction, we are now able to provid them with a Tax ID Number for their reference.
You may work for a company who is willing to "match" your donation. Check with your company to see if they have a donation matching program.
