What is a Ragdoll? Ragdolls are very unique loving cats that act and behave more like a dog than a cat. They are known to greet you at the door, play fetch with their toys, and follow you around wherever you go. Ragdolls are noted for their tendency to go limp in your arms by nature when picked up. They are extremely affectionate and make great companions. Characteristics of the Ragdoll Cat Ragdolls are large, blue eyed, cuddly cats with males weighing 15 pounds or more. Females are slightly smaller. Ragdoll kittens are born white. Color does not usually appear until around 10 days old, and darken as they mature. Their coats don't require alot of maintenance due to the fact that they don't have an undercoat. This eliminates matting, and shedding is at a minimum. They come in a variety of different colors and patterns. Colors are seal, blue, lilac, chocolate, and flame points. Patterns are color points, mitted, bi-color, lynx, and tortie points. |
