8:30-10:00 Sky Tour through the telescopes
Intended for those wanting to view the nights sky through a telescope from a foothill location with dark skies.  We'll provide the telescopes and locate ~35 objects for you to see.
Simply show up by 8 PM to learn about the telescopes and ask any astronomy questions you may have. Bring a heavy jacket.
Restrooms will be at each location.
All stargazing is free and open to the public.
An alcohol-free and pet-free event.
If you wish to bring a telescope and share the views with others, please contact Don Machholz (530-346-8963) beforehand. Volunteers are needed.  Click here for guidelines.  You may stay the remainder of the night for dark-sky viewing.
