There is fantastic scope for role-play in this super little game. The 51 pages of the main rulebook are stuffed full of legends and traditions, ideas for adventures, useful help for the GM in running a game on the prairie and lots of cool stuff for characters to do. The prairie dogs can fight if they have to, but they rely a great deal on the spiritual qualities of their feathers, which they can draw upon to increase their abilities. They also have 'magical' Barks, that can often get them out of the jaws of death!.
Your prairie dog could be a Scout seeking the legendary 'First Town' of Thundertown.
Your prairie dog could be a Brave, earning feathers for his fighting prowess and bravery.
Your prairie dog could be a Healer, gathering rare plants to cure The Dark Death, which has come to the dog town of Great Home.
Your prairie dog could be a Speaker, learning new tales and traditionsto be passed down through the generations of The Dawn Eagle Tribe.
Your prairie dog could be a Sentinel, charged with watching over Great Home to keep it safe from enemies.
If none of these grabs you, you could take the role of a feral Wildling, with no tribe and no place to call home.
