ABOUT DOG MOCASSINS

Actually, there is a small inaccuracy in our name, Dog Mocassins, which we hope you will forgive..  That's not all we make & sell.  We also make People Mocassins. However -- We didn't think you'd pay as much attention if we talked only about people mocassins, or talked just about mocassins..     Both Dog Mocassins & People Mocassins are gloves for your feet (or your dog's).  They are custom-hand-made by Indians in North Dakota.  They come in  moose leather.  People Mocassins have a small amount of beadwork in your choice of Eastern/Woodland Indian style (floral), or Plains Indian style(geometric).  Exactly what yours will look like will be a surprise, but you do get to choose the colors, too.  If you have preferences, discuss them with us.                                       * * * * * * *     Dog Mocassins are hunting boots for your dog.  Few dogs today have the tough feet needed to hunt in rough country.  Your dog wants to hunt, but if his/her feet are sore - or worse, bloody - from sharp rocks, spines, etc., hunting isn't much fun.  Happy dogs hunt harder, longer, right?      Dog Mocassins go on easy, they fit, & they stay on!  Dog Mocassins come in sizes, all at $55 U.S. / set of 4,PPD.  They come in moose leather, with your choice of leather or Vibram second sole.  They come treated with mink oil. You will still need VetWrap to cover the tie straps.        We're inventive Indians, but we haven't come up with a way around the need for VetWrap yet.                                           * * * *     TO ORDER DOG MOCASSINS, we need 4 paw prints for each dog you are ordering for, along with it's breed type &/or weight, so we can send the best fit.  Grape kool-aid powder mixed with a little water works great for making the paw prints.  It will stain almost anything.  Soak a small sponge with the grape drink, set the dog's foot on so it gets wet; then quickly set the foot on a piece of  paper so the dog stands on it. Make good dark prints.  Do all 4 feet this way.                                           * * * *     TO ORDER PEOPLE MOCASSINS, we need a tracing of the feet the mocassins are for, as shown below.     Remember, the fit of your mocassins depends on the accuracy of the tracings & measurements you send us. We can only guarantee fit to the tracings & measurements you send us. Trace over socks if you wear socks in these.                                    * * * * * * *                                  Dog Mocassins usually go out "from stock"; although we may run low during hunting season..  People mocassins take longer, usually 3 weeks from the date you mail us the tracings. Mocassins make great gifts for adults, children, or babies!  Baby mocs have growth space built in.   Thank you for your interest in our mocassins!  We hope you & your dogs enjoy them as much as we enjoy bringing them to you.

Baby mocassins have minimal beadwork, as shown.  Beads are tiny, about the size of mustard seeds.  Floral or Eastern/Woodland style.
