Bergen

    DnR's love of the Pharaohs began with the arrival of Bergen in the summer of 2000.  Bergen's quest for her AKC Championship was a true "Storybook Finnish".  With limited competion in Wisconsin and Illinois she gave sterling performances when the competion was there.  Like her siblings, her movement is effortless and gives the appearance of floating around the ring.  The high point of each show for Bergen was to give spectators a BIG SMILE, thereby getting permission to check their pockets for a potential treat.

     Bergen was introduced to Lure Coursing when we took her to a Midwest Coursing Club Practice to see what coursing was all about.  Her first sight of the "Bunny" racing around the field awakened a passion for running that has not diminished.  Bergen's first rather clumsy out and back only hinted at the elegant, powerful runner she would become.  With great reach and drive Bergen is capable of surprising burst of speed when she kicks it into overdrive.  Having finished her Field Championship she is now going for her LCM title.
