EXCHANGE FOR THE WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL HARBOUR CITY AND LIVE ON A STUNNING BEACH

THE HOUSE Our 3/4 bedroom house is positioned on a hill overlooking one of the prettiest beaches in Sydney.  It is  air-conditioned and completely renovated and re-furnished.   Most of the rooms have full length beach views. We get wonderful sun in the house and on the decks....in summer and winter. The house is about 300 metres from the beach.....the sound of the waves wafts through the rooms.  We have a high speed wireless internet connection and a computer. THE AREA Whale Beach is situated on the Pittwater Peninsular, 35km north of the Opera House. This is an exclusive beachside area, well served by buses to the city and with a lovely local shopping village, Avalon.  It is to Sydney what The Hamptons are to NYC or Cape Cod is to Boston, but less than an hour from the centre of Sydney.  We have movie theatres, banks, cafes, boutiques, galleries, bakeries and supermarkets. And we have restaurants, restaurants and more restaurants.  All this is 5 minutes by car from the house.   Within less than a kilometre are golf courses, tennis courts, fishing, sailing and hiking in the adjacent National Park. See links at the bottom of the page for detailed, current information. THE DESTINATIONS. We are keen to consider offers from all destinations. London,  Italy, France and the USA and Manhattan are especial favourites. THE PEOPLE We are retired NON-SMOKING couple (anaesthetist & academic) with no children.   We have done more than 35 fantastic exchanges. THE DATES We want to be travelling between April1-October1 each year.   In Australia, May-August is the peak season for most of the major tourist sites (Uluru, The Barrier Reef, Kakadu National Oark, Broome, The Kimberley Ranges etc). In Sydney, temperatures average 18C. We usually have mild winters with an average  of 6 hours of sunshine/day.   Exact dates and periods are negotiable.   Up to 12 months is also possible.

OUR HOUSE IS IN A PRIVATE ESTATE.  IT IS A VIRTUAL NATURE AND WILDLIFE RESORT. THERE IS NO ROAD NOISE, JUST BIRDS AND THE SURF. THESE ARE OUR CURRENT VISITORS.  THE RAINBOW LORRIKEETS, KOOKABURRA, THE KING PARROT AND WATER MONITOR LIZARD CAN BE HAND FED..SOMETIMES.  THE SULPHUR CRESTED COCKATOO IS SHY.
