After being "down" for months, I have finally gotten my site back "up!" These few months have been very exciting for the Internet and there have been many changes.

The W3C has finally announced some guidelines for us concerning CSS, HTML and more. Browser manufacturers have become less competitive in browser standards. This means being cross-browser compatible should be easier than ever! Of course there remains the "not so old" age-old problem; not everyone has the newest browser, so it will likely be several years before we are truly a cross-browser world.

What does all of this mean to those of us creating our sites with FrontPage? We can lighten up on the browser redirects, we can create our page the way we want it and not worry so much about what browser each visitor is using to access it.

So...Let's get that site created! You may see mention in a couple of places about this FP feature or another not being cross-compatible with NN. I am checking these things out, one at a time in several versions of NN. That will take some time, with the day job and all, you know how it is. If you happen into one of those pages and use NN and it works, please, let me know. Send me email giving me browser type, version, etc. Thanks!
