Roan Mountain, Tn (Press Release) - After 10 years of ministry, Brian Burchfield, group owner/manager of Divine Purpose, has announced that the group has disbanded. Brian states, "After other members of the group cam off the road to be with their families and work in their own ministries, I felt it was time to disband the group. Little did I know that I would be right back on the road again."
During the same time frame that Divine Purpose was disbanding, Tim Hughes, a 13 year member of the Melody Trio (noted for their signature song "So Much To Thank Him For") announced his resignation from that group to devote more time to his family. RL Jones of the trio says, "We were saddened to lose Tim. He was a great asset to our group for 13 years, but we certainly respect his decision. When we learned that Brian had disbanded Divine Purpose, we contacted him about our position and after about a month of traveling together, we all have a peace about Brian being in our group."
