Bob & Louisa DiBenedetto
About Us:
We live in Honlulu, Hawaii; Waikiki to be specific. Louise was born here, and I'm originally from Rhode Island (can't get much farther away from Hawaii than that!) moving here in 1987. Several years and thousands of miles later, we met at work. That's a long and mildly interesting story, although Louise claims that all of my stories are nothing short of boring. I graduated from Providence College with a degree in Psychology what seems like (well...actually I guess it WAS) many years ago. I'm still not quite sure how that resulted in a 17 year career as a restaurant manager, but I've seen enough craziness in my day to day experiences without having to actually make a career out of it! I've been easing out of that field for the past couple of years now to work more from home. A big reason for the timing of that was the arrival of Robert Jr. in October of 2001. As anyone with kids, (especially babies) can tell you, it's hard to be away from them all day. Making a few sacrifices to spend that valuable time with him has been more than worth it in our case. Robert is our first child and Louise's first boy (after three girls), so it's a pretty exciting time for everyone. To see all these great ladies just click on PICS. Because he's now the baby, Robert has his own reserved spot at the bottom of the page.
Personal Best:
We do business as Personal Best Associates, but Personal Best has a greater significance to me than just a business name. As an athlete and coach it represents to me the concept of always striving to improve yourself and the others who look to you for guidance. Few of us will ever have the talent it takes to reach the Olympic level as an athlete, but there is always that challenge to improve on what we've accomplished in the past and to reach our own Personal Best. It's a philosophy that I believe applies to all areas of our lives and it's a concept I strive to apply to business as well. It's our belief that no matter what you do, you should seek out the best coaches and teams to help you become the best you can be. Our associations, both personal and professional, have a profound impact on our lives. Unlike sports, business life does not focus only on your talent, but rather your tenacity and willingness to commit to the things you want. We see people from all walks of life with "success" in their lives. Learn how the right "associations" can increase your knowledge and help you to grow and achieve your Personal Best by clicking on GROUPS.
What Kind Of...?:
What kind of screen name is DiscThrow2? I am a High School track coach for the shot put and discus, as well as an active Masters track and field athlete. If you're a track nut and love to discuss the sport I am always ready to listen! Also, if you are in Hawaii and would like information on the Hawaii Masters Track Club I would be happy to talk with you.
