                                                   This is me, Guenter (OE1GZA). In early 2000 my professional life brought me to the
                                                    Middle East region for an extended period and this made me deciding to apply for an
                                                    E4-license. During a tip to Gaza in July 2000 the Ministry of Post & Telecoms of the
                                                    Palestinian Authority approved my license application and issued documents with
                                                    the above call sign - my special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Sami Tarazi (E44B)
                                                    who was of great support in this matter. Operation out of the city of Ramallah, the
                                                    largest city of the West Bank started barely 2 weeks later. If DX-clusters can be
taken as a reference I appear to be the only more or less permanent active E4-station in late 2000 and 2001.         In 2002 unfortunately no activity was possible. Since I'll be leaving the region in Dec. 2002 this DX-pedition is
now history Anyhow, find lots of pictures and information on this site about Palestine and the DX-pedition.

No return postage provisions means my QSL will be sent out thru the bureau, no exceptions whatsoever made).

Remarks: There are currently no regular arrangements to reply to bureau QSL's. Eventually also those will be answered and batches go out to the bureau from time to time though this will take a long, long while >>> If you need your QSL fast use the direct way.
