| Desert Wildlife Presentations takes care of nearly every aspect of this memorable trip with an experienced naturalist leading the dazzling journey. We transport you to the beautiful Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, AZ on the splendid Hualapai reservation. After a brief gathering to discuss what to expect on the river, you spend the night in a comfortable, modern hotel room. The next morning, after breakfast in the delightful on-site restaurant, we ride a bus (not hike) to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Then the experience escalates! We raft 40 miles of the Colorado River inside the Grand Canyon in motorized, pontoon-style boats with a Rattlers player on each raft crashing through class 3, 4, and 5 rapids. We stop along the way to explore Travertine Caverns and Travertine falls. We also get to relax and take in the spectacular beauty of the canyon walls and hopefully see some wildlife. The life-changing voyage is topped by a helicopter ride out of the canyon. After returning to the comfort of the lodge we'll retire for the night after a festive evening refreshed but tired and ready for the trip home after breakfast in the morning. |
