Continued Excellence Award
  The Barb Johnson Phi Theta Kappa Continued Excellence Award was established in 2004.  Delta of Missouri named the scholarship after one of our chartering members, a guiding force in chartering Delta of Missouri, who was killed in a car accident in December of 2003.  Not only was Barb a beloved member of Delta of Missouri and Alumni of your chapter, Chi Delta, she was also a chartering member of the Missouri Alumni Association and an active member of the community.  She was on the Board of Trustees at East Central College, a single mother of 3, a grandmother, and an extremely active member of Phi Theta Kappa.

     The following are the criteria to apply for this scholarship:
A Chi Delta Member in good standing.
A current student at East Central College at time of application
A minimum of 3.5 cumulative GPA out of a possible 4.0 at the time of application on all coursework. (Grades of coursework completed 10+ years ago may be forgiven at the request of the applicant.)
Students must not hold a recognized associate's degree or bachelor's degree from any community college or senior institution.
Part-time students, full-time students and International students are eligible to apply.
Full-time students who will have a minimum of 24 hours remaining and part-time students who will have a minimum of 12 hours remaining in their program of study by May 31, 2009 are eligible to apply.
Students must enroll at East Central College for the 2009-2010 academic year in a minimum of six semester credit hours each semester.
Prior recipients are ineligible.
Note: A+ Students are eligible for this scholarship!
