| The art of Taijiquan (its' proper spelling) was once a secret practice within the Chinese community. Originating from Taoist philosophy, Taiji soothes the mind, ignites the spirit, and nurtures the vital, life energy within. Hunyuan Taijiquan bridges the teachings of the Chen Style Taiji of Grandmaster Chen Fake and the Qigong of Grandmaster Hu Yaozhen by Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang. | Tui shou or 'Pushing Hands' is Taiji exercises involving 2 people. Pushing Hands practice is easy-to-learn and fun to practice. You need not even be a student of Taiji to play! One Sunday every month, I designate a time for students, friends and the public to get together and play Push Hands. The event costs nothing and you are free to come and go as you please. Please refer to this website from time-to-time for date or time changes. Please note that any weather involving precipatation (of any kind) will result in cancelation. |
