Derlei decisive as Porto progress,A second-half penalty from fit-again FC Porto striker Derlei was enough to secure FC Porto a place in the UEFA Champions League final at the expense of ten-man RC Deportivo La Coruña.
Brazilian brilliance
It was an indication that the two Brazilians were revelling in being reunited after Derlei's extended absence with a knee injury. Deco, in particular, had found time and space to orchestrate the game and the result was deadly for Deportivo. Having given the warning signs, the pair combined again to leave Porto on the verge of the final. Deco skipped around César on the edge of the box and the Spaniard's tackle brought the penalty which Derlei nervelessly converted.

REF robbed Porto!!

Porto and late 10-man Deportivo La Coruna played out a tense goalless draw in Portugal in the Champions League semi-final first leg, which sets up an intriguing return game in the Riazor in two weeks time.
It was a match dominated by the hosts against Depor, who had Jorge Andrade sent off with five minutes remaining but Porto could only produce a Maniche shot that hit the crossbar and a glancing header from Edgaras Jankauskas that flew narrowly wide.
Porto had a loud claim for a penalty turned down in injury time when Marco Ferreira seemed to be brought down by Mauro Silva, but Merk saw it differently and booked the striker for diving.
It ended a frustrating night for the home side.
