Midi Playing: Jingle Bells

And there were living in the very same country where the baby Jesus was born, some shepherds in the pastures, they were watching over their sheep at night.

Then, suddenly they could see an angel, from the Lord, shining like a light around them. They were very scared. This was something very new to them. But the angel said to them "Don't be afraid, I am here to tell you of some very great things that will bring you a lot of happiness and to all people of the Earth.

This very day, a baby was born in Bethlehem, the home of David, His name is Christ the Lord.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were very afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

May the love of God be with you this Christmas time

and throughout the coming years.

SIOUX INDIAN STORY.

Ripples on the Pond

"My grandfather took me to the fish pond on the farm when I was about seven, and he told me to throw a stone into the water. He told me to watch the circles created by the stone.

Then he asked me to think of myself as that stone person.

"You may create lots of splashes in your life but the waves that come from those splashes will disturb the peace of all your fellow creatures," he said.

"Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles.

You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others.

The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles.

You are responsible for both."

That was the first time I realised each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world.

We cannot create world peace if we are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, doubt, or anger.

We rediate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not.

Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.

Remember the eternal wisdom:

WHATEVER YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS...

When Santa Claus Comes.

A good time is coming, I wish it were here,

The very best time in the whole of the year;

I'm counting each day on my fingers and thumbs

the weeks that must pass before Santa Claus comes.

Then when the first snowflakes begin to come down,

And the wind whistles sharp and the branches are brown,

I'll not mind the cold, though my fingers it numbs,

For it brings the time nearer when Santa Claus comes.

Christmas Prayer

by Robert Louis Stevenson

Loving Father, help us remember the birth of Jesus,

that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness

of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world.

Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.

Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings,

and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children,

and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful

thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake.

Amen.

Why Jesus is better than Santa Claus

Santa lives at the North Pole.

Jesus is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh.

Jesus rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes only once a year.

Jesus is always here.

Santa fills your stocking with presents.

Jesus fills your heart with love.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited.

Jesus stands at your door and knocks,

then enters your heart when invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa.

Jesus is as close to you as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap.

Jesus lets you rest in His arms.

Santa does not know your name.

Jesus knew your name before you did.

Santa has a belly full of jelly.

Jesus has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer you is HO, HO, HO.

Jesus offers you health, help, and hope.

Santa says, "You better not cry."

Jesus says, "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

Santa's little helpers make toys.

Jesus makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes, and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle, but....

Jesus gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree,

Jesus became our gift and died on a tree.

It is obvious that there is really no comparison.

We need to remember what Christmas is all about.

We need to put "Christ" back into the word "Christmas".

Jesus is the reason for the season.
