22:15 - Sorry for the delay on any updates.
Saturday I moved into my dorm here at UAH. Thye told me I wouldn't
be able to get network access for a week, so I had to connect
through a dialup to even get online. We will be moving to the
new host sometime this week. They should be receiving my payment
tomorrow so I'll start uploading everything as soon as they
give me access to the new server.
I promised a glimpse of the new
layout, and I'll keep my word. By clicking here
you can see the JPEG image we will be cutting up to make all
the site images. This layout will be slightly modified for each
section of the network, but it'll give you a good idea of what
everything will look like.
We are still looking for staff
for the Star Wars section of the network. The staff will be
working with the Star Wars Customizable Card Game, and eventually
Star Wars Galaxies, the new online RPG from Lucasarts and Sony
releasing in 2002. If my writings seem more like ramblings,
it is because I have the band Cowboy Mouth playing on stage
right outside my window (don't you wish you were here?)

20:00 - As you have noticed, Fanatics
has been experienceing some difficulties with its current host.
As a result, we have posted up this temporary page until we
can move to our new server and host. Along with this move, we
will have to obtain a new URL. This is both good and bad. It
is good in that we were preparing for a change anyway with the
expansion to the network, but it is bad because it was premature
and you will ahve to remember a new URL.
In order to get the new site up,
we have to collect $300 to pay for server costs for a full year.
We will have slightly less space, but many more options and
unlimited bandwidth. There are going to be two new sites added
to DBZ Fanatics to create the Fanatics Gaming Network. One site
will focus on the Star Wars Customizable Card Game and the to-be-released
Star Wars Galaxies, while the other site will focus on console
(and possibly PC) RPGs. We are looking for staff for these to
sections, but be warned. All staff members will be expected
to help fund the new site however we will implement a plan for
revenue to repay staff members and to pay for future costs.
Any that apply will need to be fluent with HTML. javascripting
and CGI scripting are not necessary but are helpful (we don't
use much of either, and our forums are set up by just one person
who gives me tools to change it how I need). You will also need
to be very familiar with the games you will cover (SWCCG/SW
Galaxies, and console RPGs... predominantly the Final Fantasy,
Chrono, Xeno, and Breath of Fire series)
To apply for a job on Fanatics
staff, email me at therayj@yahoo.com.
You will need a way to prove your HTML skills and your knowledge
in the area we hire you for. (though don't send us ina summary
of every game, just a list of which you've played, how many
times you have beaten them, and if you know winning strategies
and codes if any) We hope to see you on the move. I preview
of the new layout and more information will come shortly.
