| David met his beautiful wife, Michelle Cope on December 23, 1998. They were married April 2, 1999, at the Mt. Timpanogus Temple in American Fork, Utah. Michelle is one of 13 children, and is a twin! She grew up in Texas, but her family moved to Utah in 1989. David and Michelle knew of each other prior to actually meeting. David played in a band with Michelle's brother, Nathan, and her younger sister and brother were students of David's. Michelle was working at a Macaroni Grill Restaurant, and David went there one day for lunch. They spent that lunch "shooting looks" at each other. The next time David saw her at work, she was wearing a tie with drums on it. It was obvious they were both quite smitten! David and Michelle's first child was born November 5, 2001, and their second daughter was born January 14, 2004. |
![]() June 2001, David began to step out from behind the drums, to join his uncles center stage for a little of that famous Osmond harmony. |
In addition, David took over the drum solo on the tour, during Osmond hit "Hold Her Tight." David was the first drum student of famed drummer (and David's uncle), Jay Osmond. David's fabulous drum solo fast became a highlight in the show! |
