The Wedding Float. How did it came about? When we were told by Century Mahkota salesperson that they have double booked the ballroom, we were given two choices. Firstly, to start our wedding ceremony by 2 hours later or secondly, to have our wedding ceremony besides the swimming pool. Michelle was not happy with the arrangement at all but we settled with the swimming pool area. To make the event more meaningful, the idea of the bride walking across the swimming pool came up. But it is too expensive to make a bridge, so another idea is to have Michelle sit in a boat and somebody will row the boat across the pool. This idea seems good enough and after building our own float (which failed the test of stability), the Recreation Department was gracious enough to come up with the float that you see in the picture. *I believes that the main reason they came up with the float was because we use oil drums for our float. They definitely do not want to pollute the swimming pool with oil, so they managed to come up with the existing float. Praise God for He makes all things beautiful in His time.
*Some of the photos especially the aerial view photos are courtesy of the overseas tourists who took the photos from the hotel/apartment balcony.
