DashTown was built as a celebration of all the building possibilities available in Active Worlds. It was my desire to create a place of beauty, fun and interaction. Perhaps as you wander around this quirky town, some of what you see will spark your creative mind. There are places here for those who wish to add their own unique touches - to share and showcase your imagination. |

Building your dreams, is what this town is all about, and in place where you can fly and walk through walls, the challenge to your creativity and self expression is met here with eagerness, delight and humor. DashTown is quartered in the four major directions of the compass; each section quite different from the other. The hub of the town is centered (of course) at the GZ – named The Sugar Cube because...well you’ll just have to see for yourself!
Directly North of The Sugar Cube is the DashTown Welcome Center, equipped with information on the town, listings of some of what you can see there, and a nice spot to kick back and watch CTV and XeonTV on two huge screens. Continuing northwards on Funky Street, you can play in the Mosh Pit, visit The Mayor’s Hangout or zip around the town using the wacky DashPort Center. |

Heading out to the West along The Avenue of the Gods, one can “pay homage to the only goddess with a fro”. (to quote from Goober King’s blurb on DashTown).
The Greek Theater looms up on the horizon, huge flickering flames and eye-melting textures; a great venue for holding events and of course, a good old fashioned Greek Tragedy. |

South of GZ is Dineh Country, a nice place for those who love to build nature and/or live in the great outdoors. Visitors can stay in a rustic guest tipi, or try their hand at scaling the mountain between the cascades of DashFalls. Stake your claim in this paradise for tree-hugging nature builders! |

The East section is the main area where Citizens can build their homes, and experience that funky French-American, Faux-Nawlins flavor with the usual DashTown twist on reality. Since its near impossible to see everything in just one day, book a room in the swanky Hotel Dashiere and take in the sights at a leisurely pace.
Fantastic builds from Stormyskz and Wings0nite are not to be missed! Visit Cafe Dessous - (Underneath is where its at!) Enjoy fun french food, good company and drink in some of AW's amazing textures, framed on the walls for your viewing pleasure. Snuggle up in the Love Seat Fire Pit and soak up the ambiance. Allez-Vous! Let the Bon-temps roulez! |

DashTown is a building down located in AW. We are listed with the United Town Network (UTN) and part of the AW Travel Agency (AWTA) connection. DT is also a part of the Adz@GZ network.
On February 9th, 2003 DashTown celebrated its 1 year anniversary! Several events were scheduled for that weekend, including a building contest and a Big Bash Birthday Partay – Happy birthday DashTown! |
