Biography

Damon began skating at the age of 5.  The athlete he most admires is Dan Jansen for his determination and persistence.  He enjoys roller blading, golfing, mountain biking, traveling and spending time with friends.  Damon is a Learn-to-Skate instructor and teaches Special Olympics figure skaters in Colorado Springs.  He is a resident athlete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  He was forced out of the 1996 U.S. Championships due to severe tendonitis and surgery on his knee. Damon is currently majoring in marketing at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and is a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity.  His most prized possession is his grandfather's wedding band.
Currently, Damon is working on his quad lutz and salchow jumps.
