The Deaf Dogs Webring is dedicated to deaf dogs and the people who love them. This ring caters only to deaf dogs, all breeds are welcome.
In order for your site to be included in the Deafdogs webring, it must have **something** to do with deafdogs. Either a personal page, or a product or service that is especially for deaf dogs.
To join the Deafdogs webring, follow the steps below.
1. | Click here to go to the signup page (page will open in a new browser window). Complete and submit this form. You will be shown a page that has signup information on it. Print this page out and keep it for reference. |
| 2. | Return to the Webring site, and click on the Ring Management link. |
| 3. | Login at the "WebRing Members" section with the following information: |
| Ring ID: deafdogs |
| Site ID: this is the ID number that was assigned when you completed your submission form |
| Password: the password that you selected |
| 4. | Scroll down that page and you will see the HTML fragment to cut and paste onto your web page. Make sure this fragment goes on to the page that you want linked through the ring. And be sure not to move the page without taking the proper maintenance precautions. It's frustrating when someone is surfing the ring and they have to hunt around for the ring.
Please complete this step before proceeding.
| 5. | Once you have the HTML fragment cut-and-pasted onto your webpage, and you have uploaded that page to your server, send an email to Barbara to let her know you are ready. She will check your site for the correctness of the fragment and will add you to the ring. Site are usually approved within 24 hours. |
A few other notes:
You may modify the HTML fragment as you wish. If you want to change the "This site owned by" information, go ahead. The table size may be modified to fit better on your page (change the percentage/pixel figure to match any predefined margins/tables you have in your page). Currently, my only modification request is that you NOT substitute any pictures for the graphic in the fragment. If you wish to submit a picture of your deaf dog, I am looking for other pics to do several fragments (a light colored background, a dark background, etc.), so email me if you have a cute picture you'd like to see used in a webring fragment for the Deafdogs ring. |
