Welcome to the Dallas, Scotland Web Site
The village of Dallas lies in the heart of Moray, Scotland, just off the banks of the River Lossie. Dallas is a rural area, ten miles from the city of Elgin and eight miles from the town of Forres. The whole land area of Dallas is about 20,000 acres and between 10 and 11 miles in length and 7 miles in breadth. Most of this land is used for farming or forestry..
The name Dallas came from the Gaelic name of the village, Dollas. This name means 'the valley of water'. This is true because the village is situated in a valley beside the River Lossie.
