POSTAGE STAMPS OF BANGLADESH

This web page contains information on postage stamps of Bangladesh, issued by the Bangladesh Post Office. Bangladesh gained its independence on 16th December 1971. The first stamps of Bangladesh was issued on 20th December 1971. During the war of independence in 1971 various stamps of Pakistan were handstamped locally for use. More information can be received by contacting the 'Philatelic Bureau, Dhaka GPO, Dhaka', or in any reputed stamp catalog.

Unfortunately information on all the issues could not be included here. It is hoped that with time, more and more stamps will be included in this site. This sight has been arranged in two ways. Viewers can view the stamps on the basis of the stamps issue date, or the viewer can view the stamps on a thematic basis. The viewers are most welcomed to send any suggestions at daktiket@gmail.com
