Wedding of Prince Carl Bernadotte and Elsa von Rosen



Here follows a survey of selected persons in attendance at the wedding between Prince Carl Bernadotte and Countess Elsa von Rosen at Kvillinge Church in Sweden on July 6th 1937:

Carl, Prince Bernadotte, born Prince Carl Gustaf Oscar Fredrik Christian of Sweden, Duke of Östergötland, lost in 1937 his rights of succession to the Swedish throne by marrying a Swedish private man's daughter, in accordance with the succession law at the time. He was granted the title Prince Bernadotte by the King of the Belgians on 6 July 1937. Prince Bernadotte was born at Stockholm 10 January 1911 and died in Malaga, Spain on 27 July 2003. He married 1stly at Kvillinge, Sweden 6 July 1937 (div. 1951) Countess Elsa von Rosen (Stockholm 7 February 1904-Stockholm 15 April 1991); 2ndly at Danderyd, Sweden 1 November 1954 (div. 1961) Ann Margareta Larsson (Danderyd 22 Mar 1921-1975) and 3rdly at Rabat, Morocco 8 June 1978 Kristine Rivelsrud (b. Eidsfoss, Norway 22 April 1932).
