Thick, but fairly short trees jut up out of the long grass, a small entryway covered by hanging fabric to camouflage with the bark. The trees still have large puffs of leaves on top, turned orange and brown/red by the season of autumn. A clear river splashes over peach and red colored river rocks, creating a comforting bubbling noise to add to the scenery. Apple and mulberry trees are all around, spreading their fragrance throughout the field. Around a small, still lake, white lilies grow abundantly, flanked by elegant cattails and long, Chinese grass. A natural rock archway leads onto a dirt path, which was bordered by more rocks. The sun, which was setting by the time you reached this area, cast a rosy glow on the bodies of water, and lit the entire plot in a soft red and orange shade. As you walk towards one of the tree homes, the grass tickles your legs softly, reminding you of the one cat at home who would never cease to rub up against you legs, her whiskers tickling your skin. Brushing away the dark fabric door, you peer inside, seeing a very cozy setup. A comfy looking circular cot, low to the ground but large, is pushed into one corner, covered by light, velvety fabrics. A crackling fire is directed with a metal pipe to the top of the tree, where smoke puffs out. A warm knit rug covers the grass on the floor, and your bare feet sink into it. The walls, which were illuminated by the fire-light, were decorated with paintings and framed documents. A grouping of chairs were set around the fireplace. They were made in a basic shape, 3 feet long logs secured to each other in a horizontal ledge before back made of another section of logs secured onto one of the lower ones. Lastly, large pillows were set on it, and a small blanket was thrown over each back. The large thing looks sort of like a mix between a canine and a feline, with a slim, powerful frame and elegance and sleekness only a cat has. He is a pale, icy blue, and his color becomes darker at the tips of his limbs. A small pair of wings flutter on his back, resembling those that you see in paintings of angels. His dark eyes gleam with intellegence, human intellegence. "What is your meaning for intruding in my home?" The low, mysterious voice is slightly frightening, but you manage to respond... I was just... you see, I'm kind of touring this place... and I.. I wanted - Smiling amusedly, the creature's eyes warmed up as he cut you off, "Ah, so you wanted to visit the legendary Shivuez? My name is Atlantis, I am the alpha around here. I live here, but not without company. Ah, speak of the devil, here comes Dyami. His dark eyes spark immidiately as the other Shuvu, Dyami or something, arrives, and it is plain to see that his affection for her is strong. Call name: Dyami Nickname: Dee ID: S167 Element: Brimstone Color: Palet Sun Mutations: Stained Rays Show quality: Excellent Parents: Unknown Status: 1st Origin The dazzling Brimstone Shuvu sauntered gracefully, elegantly into the warm room, her pale golden coat dancing in the firelight. Something suddenly pops in your mind, and as you throw a quick glance at the fire, you see that Dee's coat is the same color as the lightest tip of the flame. As she speaks, you turn back, her sweet, quiet and melodic voice amazing you, Hello human... I see that you have met Atlantis, our beloved alpha male. I am Dyami, the alpha female. You realize that she and Atlantis are mates, and you know that if they haven't already, they will make beautiful, wonderful Shuvu cubs. Atlantis darling, make this human feel comfortable for a moment, I'll be right back. And don't try to scare her, She said gently and warningly before dashing out through the doorway. As you turn back to Atlantis, you see that he has stepped towards one of the walls and is staring morosely at an empty frame. Confused, you step up to him, looking for something that the frame is protecting or showcasing. However, it is still vacant. Um, Atlantis, what exactly is supposed to be in here? He seems to fall out of a trance, and looks up at you, startled for a moment. Within a second's span, eagerness takes place of surprise, and he readily explains. You see, this is where our pack certificate will go when Maddie applies for it! It'll be in my home. He says proudly. As soon as he finishes, Dee rushes back in, smiling softly as she sees that Atlantis has let down his guard. Atlantis, please allow me to take the human on a tour, will you darling? I'm sure Mitena would love to meet her. Atlantis nods, bidding you farewell as he lopes off, disappearing into a small tunnel. As you turn to Dee, questioning in your gaze, she answers your question before you have a chance to ask, It leads to a smaller room further up in the tree where Atlantis likes to look out upon the field. Although our group is slightly small now, we're in the midst of getting more, She said softly, and you guess that she means that she and Atlantis would have an egg sometime soon. [[ If that's what you though, you're right ^^ ]] Please follow me human, As she walks off elegantly, you hurry to catch up, slipping through the door. Dee leads you briskly towards the next tree down, and you enter, seeing the same thing you did in Atlantis's home. Stopping you at the entranceway, Dyami glances at you briefly before surveying the room. Puzzled, she calls out, Mitena?! Confused, you look down at her, but she only smiles back at you. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a flash of pale green brigtens your view. The light Moss element Shuvu smiles brightly, her dark eyes sparkling. Dee smiles, gently batting at Mitena with a large paw. Mitena, be courteous. We have a guest, She said amusedly, gesturing towards you. Mitena looks startled, and peeks around Dee's elegant frame to see you. Oh! Hi, I am Mitena, the future Golden Leaves Falling pack's beta female. I basically keep the Alphas in check, She says lightly, smiling proudly. Dee rolls her eyes and gently nudges the back of your hand, tugging on the sleeve of your shirt to pull you out from hiding. Mitena smiles at you playfully, before bobbing her pale green head. I know that you must want to stick around here and meet more Shivuez, but I'm sure Dee or Atlantis have already informed you that we are the only three at the moment. But... She said this smiling mischeviously, I've heard that Atlantis and Dee are working on doing something about that... if you know what I mean. Her eyebrows dart up and down quickly as she grins at Dee, awaiting her reaction. As for Dee, her pale gold cheeks flush bright red, and with an angry glare she swatted out at Mitena. Mitena! Mind your tongue... Mitena laughed and pulled away from the reprimanding, dashing upstairs. Dee turns to you, obviously ignoring the previous scene. If you would like traveler, you may stay here as a keeper of the Shivuez. As it is, there are not staff enough to watch over us or monitor everyone. I would be proud to have you as a companion. You are startled by this offer, and your jaw drops a good 2 inches. You mean? I could stay here? Oh, but you see.... I've got my pets and they - You would have continued, but Dee cut you off. I know about your pets. They Could live with you in one of the vacant trees. As long as you tell them that we are to be respected and accepted as a slightly higher ranking creature, they will be welcomed here. You immediately accept the offer, and moments later, are introducing your pets to the pack as you set up your new home. Your tree is decorated in roughly the same way as the homes of the shivuez themselves, except you have a stove and refridgerator, a fully operating bathroom, a television, and other things original human homes have. A few days later, as you are painting a picture to hang from the upper room of your tree home, Dee dashes towards you, a wide, dazzling grin on her face. Traveler (which is what she now calls you)! The egg has hatched! Immediately setting down your paints and brush, you streak down the stairs after Dyami and follow as she leads you into the home she shared with Atlantis. There, curled up on a rug on the fireplace hearth, is a dazzling young Dusk shuvu. Call name: Karwarin Nickname: Warin ID: S171 Element: Dusk Colour: Deep Shandy Mutations: Toned Evening socks Show quality: Fair Parents: S167, S168 Status: 2nd Origin The shuvu pup blinks gently, before standing on wobbly legs. He sniffs the air curiously, before stepping regally towards you. You take a step away, to allow him to get to his mother, but that does not seem to be wo he is aiming for, because he changes his path and heads straight at you again. Slightly baffled, you crough down and hold out a hand for him to investigate. The youngster sniffs it, before licking it carefully and butting his muzzle into your hand. Atlantis jogs carefully down the steps, lighting up when he saw his own hatchling. Stepping towards it, he nuzzled the shuvu gently, before smiling politely at you. Excuse me traveler, but I have business I must attend to at the Shivuez Clouds. I shall return shortly. I must announce the birth of Karwarin. As Atlantis leaves, he tells you over his shoulder that two more Shuvu will be arriving at the pack while he is gone, and that they should be welcomed in the usual way. What that way is, you're not sure, but you do know that it must be fun, for as Mitena enters, she lights up. Oh yay! More friends! You smile as she skips around in a circle, and giggle when she trips, falling into a heap near Warin's feet. He snorts amusedly before leaping back in a playful manner. Mit is about to bound after him, when a stunning Natural Shuvu moves calmly into the area. His greyish-white coat is speckled with dark grey freckles, giving him the appearance of stone or marble. You can tell he must be of Excellent show quality. Call name: Earthbound Nickname: Earth ID: S175 Element: Natural Colour: Custard Cream Mutations: Freckl'd Show quality: Excellent Parents: Unknown Status: 1st Origin The large Shuvu glances at the group calmly, and you can see a slight laugh in his dark eyes as he spots the comical Mit, and you can hardly stifle a laugh. The cool, collected Earth and the rowdy, bubbly Mit were sure to hit it off. That was how it always happened it seemed, that the opposites would work out together. You couldn't wait for the egg that would surely come of the coupling. Mit on the other hand was still dazed by Earth, staring wide-eyed with a dropped jaw. He glances at her nobely as he speaks. Hello, I am Earthbound. I suppose Atlantis has already informed you of my arrival. My companion will be following shortly. Dee, who seems to have taken control of being the hostess, excused herself to show Earth to his tree, and Mit took that moment to swoon. Isn't Earth wonderful? He's so handsome, and strong, and so cool. The way she talked reminded you vaguely of the conversations your younger sibling used to carry on when talking on the phone. You smile and lean against the wall, yawning. You allow yourself to slip down onto the floor, and tuck your tired legs underneath you. You should have known that the Shuvu pup would come later in the night. As Mit continues to babble on about Earth, Warin wobbles towards you, curling up at your feet and sighing as he rests his head on your knee. Then, from behind you, the other Shuvu that Earth had been talking about arrives. He is a pale golden color, just like Dee is. Call name: Kegan Nickname: Kay ID: S174 Element: Brimstone Colour: Sunni'd Mutations: Shattered Ray Dappl'd Show quality: Excellent Parents: Unknown Status: 1st Origin Kay greeted the Mit and Warin with a warm 'woof', and you with a lick to your cheek. Kegan seemed to be a gentle soul, and likely would prove a good uncle sort of figure to Warin, who stood up and head-butted the newcomer. Dee and Earth come back after a moment, and surprised, Dyami excuses herself once again to show Kay to his quarters. The Brimstone obliges happily, weary from the trip here. Earth steps towards Mit, gently nudging her shoulder. The bubbly Moss licked his face and they soon were headed back to Earthbound's home to rest and get to know one another. Dyami came back smiling tiredly, and notified you that Kegan had decided to stay in his tree and curl up for the night. Traveler, I suggest you go and get some sleep. Everyone else has and Atlantis will be back soon. He is surely already on his way back. I will keep Warin here to sleep, so you have no worries. Go home and feed your pets, send them to bed as well. Dee smiled gently, and carefully herded the Dusk pup towards the bed, and lifting him onto hit gently, hopped up herself, curling up on the blankets. The fire popped softly as you brush away the curtain like door and exit, headed towards your home. Curling up on the bed, you pull the blankets over you and listen to your own chorus of noises, the soft snoring of your dog, the crickets outside, the breeze whistling past you home, and the bright orange fire sending a dancing glow onto the rug and crackling reassuringly, as if singing you to sleep... back
